7 Arrested at Meiners Oaks home — Suspected of selling meth

On 08/06/2017, at approximately 12:30 PM, patrol deputies conducted a probation search at 316 El Conejo Drive in Meiners Oaks. In 2017, this residence had been responsible for 23 calls for service leading to 38 arrests.

During the probation search, patrol deputies contacted home owner Duane Crecelius and 6 other known suspects inside the residence. Deputies found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and syringes inside the location.

Crecelius was arrested on the felony charge of HS 11366, opening or maintaining any place for the purpose of unlawfully selling, giving away, or using any controlled substance. Crecelius was also charged with HS 11550(a), Under the influence of a controlled substance, HS 11364(a), possession of drug paraphernalia, and HS 11377(a), Possession of a controlled substance.

The six additional suspects found in the residence were arrested for under the influence of a controlled substance and/or violation of probation.

Crecelius and the 6 suspects were booked into the Ventura County Main Jail on the felony and misdemeanor charges. Crecelius remains in custody where his bail is currently set at $15,000.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office continues to be diligent in conducting probation searches throughout the Ojai Valley in areas where drug use and sales are suspected. We encourage citizens to report all suspicious activity seen by calling 9-1-1.
