Adopt a Senior Pet Month; Ventura County Animal Services

Sweet senior Max is not having an easy time adjusting to shelter life. No 12-year-old kitty would. He’s too scared to come out of his hiding place in the Kitty Cottage and if you actually want to see him, you have to get down on your hands and knees to peek into his cubby.

In fact, these three pictures were taken on three separate days and he was in that same place every time. He never leaves. We’d love to see Max out of the shelter before his health starts declining. We know that cats who feel emotionally unwell are at extra risk for becoming physically unwell.

This senior gentleman is a loving, gentle soul, but he needs to be in a home where he can come out of his shell and show his wonderful personality. His owner surrendered him to the shelter in June. He doesn’t want to wait any longer to find a family that will take him into their home and hearts and never let him go.

Please come meet Max for Adopt-A-Senior-Pet Month and show him what true love really is!  Max’s Information: HERE

Don’t get your face too close; “Sweet Senior Max” may not appreciate it.
