Advisory | Daytime Closures on State Route 126 for Curb Ramp Work

Santa Paula – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced plans to close several on and off-ramps in both directions of State Route 126 (Santa Paula Freeway) this week as contractors work on ADA curb ramps.

From Tuesday, July 10 to Friday, July 13, between 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., the following closures will be in place in the city of Santa Paula:

  • astbound and westbound Palm Avenue on and off-ramps
  • Eastbound 10th Street on and off-ramps
  • Westbound 10th Street off-ramp
  • Hallock Drive/SR-126 intersection – At least eastbound one lane will be open.

The closures are weather permitting and subject to change.

C.A. Rasmussen Inc. of Valencia, CA is the contractor. The work is part of an $11.8 million pavement rehabilitation project on SR-126 from U.S. 101 to Haun Creek Bridge that is scheduled to last until the spring 2019.

California drivers will see more road repaving projects on freeways and highways as a result of SB 1, the state’s new transportation funding. Caltrans reminds drivers to be “Work Zone Alert” and to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
