    Maybe we’re repeating history. President Jefferson created a Navy capable of dealing with the Barbary Pirates, and now we have their modern rendition with ISIS, and the many other moslem dominated acronym’s.

    Unfortunately, with modern missile and satellite technology, aircraft carriers are sitting ducks. For that reason, they can’t be effectively used against major nations with technology. They are OBSOLETE for that purpose. But we can still use them on small African and Asian hostile countries, ISIS, etc. and that’s about it.
