Penn Law Professor, vilified for statements such as “all cultures are not equal” and other similarly heretical claims, speaking on

    Bourgeous Values and Cultural Exceptionalism

In August 2017, Amy Wax, the Robert Mundheim professor at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, had the temerity to write an article suggesting that the loss of “bourgeois culture” may be to blame for the rise of various of our “social pathologies.”

“Too few Americans are qualified for the jobs available,” the article states. “Male working-age labor-force participation is at Depression-era lows. Opioid abuse is widespread. Homicidal violence plagues inner cities. Almost half of all children are born out of wedlock, and even more are raised by single mothers. Many college students lack basic skills, and high school students rank below those from two dozen other countries.

“The causes of these phenomena are multiple and complex, but implicated in these and other maladies is the breakdown of the country’s bourgeois culture.”

    Oh my!

The article, co-written with Larry Alexander of the University of San Diego Law School, sent shock waves throughout, well, everywhere. In addition to the above, and a description of what constitutes “bourgeois culture,” Wax and Alexander made the following truly shocking claim:

    “All cultures are not equal.”

For this, Amy Wax has been the target of various of academia’s tactics for silencing opinions that fail to conform to their accepted norms, and was stripped of teaching first year law students.

But we are delighted to be hosting her Friday, February 1st at 4:30 at the Luxe. Come hear this courageous woman tell her story, and about academia’s silencing tactics generally.

Watch one of her more recent speeches here.

We hope to see you there!

With your support, we are able to host the exceptional and world-class events that are our hallmark, and that are fundamental to the preservation of Western Civilization.  As always, it sounds hyperbolic… but as events show us day after day, it’s not.

When the media, academia and the vast majority of cultural influences do their utmost to create a “reality” that is devoid of, and in fact, in total opposition to the truth, it falls to organizations such as this one to disseminate and support, in every way possible, the actual truth.  Only by shining the light of truth do we stand a chance against the juggernaut of misinformation, and only with your support can we do so.
