The event begins at 4:30 p.m. with light refreshments, followed by a 5 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony with City officials.
The grand opening is a celebration of the renovation of the 29,719-square-foot dog park, which now includes two separate areas for dogs of various sizes as well as new signage and double gate entry points.
The Oxnard Police Department’s Animal Safety Unit will be at the event to help pet owners license their pets and to provide information about the City’s spay and neuter program.
