Attorney & Assembly Candidate Ronda Baldwin-Kennedy:  Anonymous Mommy “is a cyber bully”

By Michael Hernandez

VENTURA—(Anonymous Mommy) “…is a cyber bully that has the conservative community terrified of her,” said attorney Ronda Baldwin-Kennedy Monday.  “This time she has bit off more than she should.  She is in a fight with the wrong person.”

The legal fight to remove a temporary restraining order against Thousand Oaks resident Emily Bartley-Gonzales, granted to liberal blogger Jess Weihe, a Newbury Park resident also known as “Anonymous Mommy” will go back to court Wednesday, July 25th at the Ventura County Courtroom, Dept. 34 at 1:30 p.m.

“This is an attack on the First Amendment,” said Ronda Baldwin-Kennedy, an African-American attorney and mom, who is running for the California State Assembly 44th seat against incumbent Jacqui Irwin.  “Conservative moms are hiding their real names” because they believe Anonymous Mommy is “going to come after them.”

“What she (Anonymous Mommy) is trying to do, is to use the courts to censure conservative views.   Filing a restraining order is the worst thing she could do.  She is no longer in the Facebook world, nor in the blogging world, but in the courtroom.”

“Wiehe gained public notoriety last winter after Conejo Valley Unified School District Board trustee Mike Dunn contacted her employer following critical comments she made about the board majority during a public meeting for which Dunn was later censured.” Per the Thousand Oaks Acorn*, July 6 -Republican Assembly candidate takes case involving liberal blogger

Anonymous Mommy, an outspoken mother of two, has been blogging about issues concerning CVUSD since late 2016, especially the district’s new core literature policy, permitting parental involvement.  She is a critic of the policy and is an Irwin supporter; while Bartley-Gonzales, a parent, has been supportive of the new board policy.   The aftermath has been a war of words between both women against each other in social media.

Per the Thousand Oaks Acorn*, July 6– –Republican Assembly candidate takes case involving liberal blogger: “Weihe was granted a temporary restraining order against Bartley-Gonzales in April, which she is asking the court to make permanent.   Meanwhile, Bartley-Gonzales is asking the court to reverse the temporary restraining order.  The parties appeared in court June 22 but the case was continued because Bartley-Gonzales had just retained the services of Baldwin-Kennedy after letting her previous attorney go.”

Bartley-Gonzales says Weihe’s claims are factually inaccurate and asserts that Anonymous Mommy is a public figure so Bartley-Gonzales comments and posts are protected under the First Amendment.  In court documents, Bartley-Gonzales says Weihe is using the court system to intimidate others.

In her written statement to the court, Baldwin-Kenney says Weihe is trying to silence Bartley-Gonzales for her conservative views.  “A public blogger and political activist should be prepared in this profession to be able to handle opposition to her beliefs,” she wrote.

Weihe’s request for a permanent restraining order states:  “I understand free speech and respect the right of individuals to hate me and state that opinion, however, this far surpasses that,” the filing states.

A Nextdoor Lead Cyber Bully came very close to having a stalking lawsuit slapped on her. This happens when questionable mental behavior is publicly spewed on a public forum and others are uncomfortable. Some of these people get into positions and slander others out of spite. Our only recourse really is time, it seems to highlight the idiot statements from some who intentionally place bad info out and think it’s necessary to blast our Veterans too, in a very negative way.
Nextdoor has become a comical clique of HOA’s and Groups, lead losers that have only opinions and in-fighting. Some use backdoor for their politics and if you do not agree, then you are removed. This happens when people think they can hide behind the keyboard with hate speech. Thank goodness the locals are still friendly after all the rudeness from those who think they know it all.
Newspaper news much better, stuff you can actually read and not gossip. Light will shine and truth always wins.

I’m sure glad that I don’t use Facebook. I’m sure there’s lots of very positive things done on it, but the mischief that is associated with it just doesn’t make it worth it for me.

Any comments from Irwin? Is she employing Mustang for her upcoming election fight with Baldwin-Kennedy?

Could Harris be using his business for political purposes?
