Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley announce Winners of Annual Essay Contest

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley are pleased to announce the winners of the annual Essay Contest sponsored by the Optimist Club of Conejo Valley.  Logan Cary took first place and received $200.  Runner-ups were Stefan Rosu and Logan Eby, winning $100 each. 

Some 35 members submitted essays for the contest that were chosen after a panel of judges reviewed their work.  “The essay contest is a great way to instill a positive sense of self while helping to develop key writing skills,” stated Lisa Barron, Branch Director for the Rocky & Lon Morton Boys & Girls Clubs.

All three winners are members of the Rocky & Lon Morton Boys & Girls Clubs located on the campus of Sequoia Middle School in Newbury Park.
