The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley Announces the Resignation of its CEO/President, Mark Elswick

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley announces the resignation of its CEO/President, Mark Elswick.  Elswick submitted his resignation on May 5, 2017 to pursue new ventures in his career.

When Elswick joined the Boys & Girls Clubs in 2008, the organization had four clubs and 1,379 registered members.  Since then, the Boys & Girls Clubs has grown to nine clubs, serving over 4,200 members.  In addition, the organization offers summer camp at five locations with three overnight camps.

During the search to fill Elswick’s position, the Board of Governors has appointed Dean Lesiak as Interim CEO/President.  Lesiak retired after a successful career developing and managing key operational risk functions as a bank regulator, an executive officer in multi-billion dollar financial institutions and as a regulatory consultant in a national advisory service practice.  His volunteer associations have followed his professional career and have included board positions with the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra, New West Symphony, United Way of Greater Los Angeles, PSI Chapter Diamond Association and the Boys & Girls Clubs.  Having a passion to serve youth, Lesiak has been volunteering and contributing to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Moorpark and the Greater Conejo Valley for the past 20 years.  “I look forward to my role as interim President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley and in helping to make a great organization even greater,” stated Dean Lesiak.

“Mark Elswick inspired our organization to provide quality programs focusing on academic success, healthy lifestyles and character and leadership skills,” stated Jennifer Wissusik, Director of Operations for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley.  “He has been proactive in growing our organization and developing a successful team,” she continued.  “We appreciate all of Mark’s efforts and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” added Wissusik.

The search for a new President/CEO will be led by the international recruitment firm of Korn Ferry.  For more information, contact the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley at 818-706-0905.
