The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley Hosts the 15th Annual Superstars of the Year Celebration

Thousand Oaks, CA – The community is invited to attend one of the signature events for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley – The Annual Superstars of the Year Celebration’.  This event is open to all ages and recognizes local youth and volunteers who have made a contribution to the Boys & Girls Clubs. 

The celebration takes place on Sunday, March 18 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Education Center located at 28545 W. Driver Avenue in Agoura Hills with a VIP Reception from 2 pm to 2:30 pm. The afternoon includes the annual Youth of the Year awards, performing arts showcase by club members and a special guest performance by Dalton Cyr, an award-winning singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist actor.

The Youth of the Year winners will be selected from two categories, 14-18 years old and 13 years old and younger.  Winners will be recognized with a cash prize and certificates from local businesses.  The youth in the 14-18-year old category can go on to participate in area coastal, state and regional competitions with an opportunity to win up to $100,000 in scholarships awarded by the President of the United States.

Adding to the festivities, the afternoon includes opportunity drawings with merchandise donated by the local community.  The admission fee is $5.

About Dalton Cyr

From Jacksonville Beach, FL, the awarding-winning singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, actor Dalton Cyr is currently working on his 4th album with producer Mikal Blue (One Republic, Jason Mraz, Five For Fighting, and many others) in L.A. Cyr’s third EP, “Breathe”, was accompanied by the release of a music film trilogy.
