Bryan Caforio Statement on Medicare for All

Caforio Supports Quality Healthcare for Every American

Steve Knight stands by his vote to strip healthcare from 23 million people, eliminate protections for pre-existing conditions, impose an age tax on those 50 to 65-years-old, and increase premiums and deductibles. Bryan Caforio, Democratic candidate for Congress in California’s 25th District, supports solutions that will ensure every American has the quality healthcare they deserve.

“All Americans should be able to receive the quality and affordable healthcare they need and not have to worry that they are only one medical catastrophe away from bankruptcy, and that’s why I support Medicare for all,” said Bryan Caforio. “I will not stand by and watch Washington politicians take healthcare away from tens of millions of people, including more than 46,000 of my neighbors here in California’s 25th District.”

Today, Washington Republicans tried to distract from Knight’s shameful vote by highlighting Caforio’s support for Medicare for All.

“Fifteen months from the election and Paul Ryan is already scared of the momentum Bryan Caforio keeps building in the 25th District,” said Nicole DeMont, Bryan Caforio’s Campaign Manager. “While Bryan Caforio is building a broad coalition of dozens of local officials and labor unions supporting his campaign, and fighting for real healthcare solutions like Medicare for All, Paul Ryan is trying to distract from Steve Knight’s disastrous votes by flooding this community with misleading attacks.”

The son of two public school teachers, Caforio was born and raised in Southern California, attended UCLA and Yale Law School, worked for a United States federal judge, and practices as an attorney taking on some of the world’s biggest banks and corporations. Bryan lives in Santa Clarita with his wife Lisa, who serves as a Deputy City Attorney at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.

California’s 25th Congressional District covers northern Los Angeles County and part of Ventura County, including the Santa Clarita Valley, Antelope Valley, and Simi Valley. Hillary Clinton won the district by more than six points in 2016, registered Democrats outnumber registered Republicans, and the district is majority-minority. The district is now considered a “toss-up” and is held by Tea Party Republican Steve Knight, whom national Republicans have publicly identified as one of their most vulnerable incumbents.  www.bryancaforio.com

Why don’t we just start with our politicians first? How long do you think that Caforio will find medicare for all if he’s part of THE ALL?

Who will pay for it to start with?
