California’s Descent to Socialism or How the ‘Nerd Estate’ Controls the Rest of Us

By Stephen Frank

How do the Progressives want to extend liberty and freedom in California?  Through higher taxes, more restrictive regulations, abusive education systems, promotion of violation of Federal laws, they want chaos and anarchy—to go with the bullying on campus and in the community.

“California’s progressive regime of severe land-use controls has helped to make the state among the most unaffordable in the nation, driving home-ownership rates to the lowest levels since the 1940s. It has also spurred a steady hegira of middle-aged, middle-class families — the kind of tax-burdened people Gov. Jerry Brown now denounces as “freeloaders” — from the state. They may have access to smartphones and virtual reality, but the increasingly property-less masses seem destined to live in the kind of cramped conditions that their parents and grandparents had escaped decades earlier.

How has this worked out for the Progressives?  They have won—California has over 12 million in poverty and the productive folks now call themselves Texans.  This is a Third World State.  Expected revenues for the State are down over $1 billion for the first vie months of this year.  We are quickly heading toward a recession—killing well paying pays, killing off revenues for schools and protecting criminals while working toward policies that make more victims.  Socialism never worked—and the Jerry Brown version is no better than the Castro version—poverty, corruption and crime will follow.

Whenever you go to the voting booth, remember this axiom for better governance: Democrats are in the business of buying elections.
Republicans are in the business to win them and represent citizens.
