Camarillo Hospice Announces New Groups for May

This May, Camarillo Hospice, A Program of Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association, will be offering two new groups for Bereaved Parents.

A Bereaved Mother’s Support Group Second Thursday of every month 6:00 to 7:30 pm

A Bereaved Father’s Support Group Second Thursday of every month 6:00 to 7:30 pm

The death of a child at any age and from any circumstance is inconceivable and yet bereaved parents must face the all-consuming grief of this loss every day of their lives.  The loss of a child is life altering and parents are encouraged to create a new normal when all they long for is their old life with their child. Often bereaved parents feel isolated and alone as family and friends expect them to be “over this” in six months to a year.

Here at Camarillo Hospice, we believe there are no timetables to one’s grief and everyone’s grieving process is unique. We also believe that the grieving process can be made easier through the support and understanding of those going through a similar experience. We will stand by you, listen to you, support you, and be there to help you through even the darkest of days. You are not alone.
