CAMARILLO, CA–– The Camarillo Ranch Foundation is celebrating community leader Adolfo Camarillo’s 153rd Birthday on October 22, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Camarillo Ranch. The Foundation will be honoring the memory of Adolfo and his contributions to the community with an exciting day of free family activities, including a special tree-planting ceremony commemorating the 125th  anniversary of the House.

A warm and gracious host, Adolfo regularly held lively and colorful events on the spacious lawns of his beautiful Victorian home. To celebrate in true Adolfo-fashion, the Camarillo Ranch will be embellished with colorful décor and will feature live performances by Ballet Folklorico Bell Arts, and local Mariachi groups.

“Adolfo Camarillo is an important part of our local history and culture and we are delighted to celebrate his 153rd birthday at the Camarillo Ranch,” said Martin Daly, CEO of the Camarillo Ranch Foundation. “We welcome the whole community to join us in this celebration.”

Docent-led tours of the Camarillo Ranch House will be available along with a display of Adolfo’s late 1800’s beautifully restored surrey. The Camarillo White Horses, a rare horse breed created by Adolfo, will make their last appearance of the year at this event. As a special treat, the Foundation will commemorate the 125th anniversary of the House by planting a tree. Expected to grow as tall as the giant Australian natives currently on the property, the tree is available for adoption.

As part of the Foundation’s commitment to community enrichment, education, and enjoyment, the event will feature a scavenger hunt, exciting ranch-themed activities for kids such as roping steer and milking cows, fun exhibits in the 1905 Mule Barn, face painting, and delicious cuisine served by popular gourmet food trucks.  All in attendance are invited to take a slice of birthday cake and celebrate the life and legacy of this incredible historic figure.
