City of Ventura: Employee and Supervisor of the Year announced
On February 15 the City of Ventura held an awards ceremony and recognized nineteen employees nominated for 2016 Employee or Supervisor of the Year. These awards acknowledge city employees who are role models for public service and exemplify the city’s commitment to excellence.
The thirteen nominees for Employee of the Year were:
Ashley Bautista – Police Department

Tracey Coert – Police Department
Courtney Deppen – Public Works
Anita Diaz – Parks, Recreation & Community Partnerships
Juanita Guzman – Finance & Technology
Luz Juachon – Community Development
Ian Livingston – Community Development
Kathi Lowe – Finance & Technology
Silvia Medrano – Public Works
Mithila Nadkarni – Finance & Technology
Vicente Ramirez – Ventura Water
Derek Towers – Public Works
The six nominees for Supervisor of the Year were:
Darrick Brunk – Police Department
William Dolan – Police Department
Thomas Hoffman – Fire Department
Florence Jay – Ventura Water
Scott Kolwitz – Community Development
Mario Robinson – Parks, Recreation & Community Partnerships
Tracey Coert was selected as 2016 Employee of the Year.
Thomas Hoffman was recognized as 2016 Supervisor of the Year.
