The Conejo Valley YMCA is hosting its 13th annual Turkey Day Dash on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 23. The 5K run/walk and 1K family fun run/walk is held at California Lutheran University (60 West Olsen Rd., Thousand Oaks). The length of the races are short enough so everyone can participate in healthy exercise and still make it home in time to prepare for a Thanksgiving gathering. All ages and abilities are welcome. Professional timing is provided for 5K runners. The 1K family fun run/walk is at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K run/walk starts at 8:00 a.m. A Thanksgiving costume contest is at 7:15 a.m. Proceeds from the Turkey Day Dash benefit Conejo Valley YMCA youth and senior programs. Online registration through November 19:  $40/individuals and $85/families (up to six immediate family members). November 21 and 22 signups at Road Runner Sports in Newbury Park: $45/individuals, $100/families. Race day: $50/individuals and $120/families.
