    MAY

EXHIBIT: Ron L Clarke Exhibit (May 7 – June 24) This exhibit spans the lifeline of the age of sailing and the development in western civilization from the 5th Dynasty to the late 1900’s. Over 30 scale-models tell the story.

A.I.R.: Artist in Residence (May 3 – May 31) Begun in 2017, our Artist in Residence program brings artists and audiences together. In May and October, CIMM invites an artist (or artists) to the museum for extended periods of time to explore their practice, meet new people, use new materials, and experience life in a new location. The results are often provocative and wide-ranging.

May 16 SPEAKER: Creating Wooden Walls: The Navy that united America by Jim Kosinski & Jerry Leckie. This talk will be about the unexpected and transformative effect the building and launching of the first ships of the U.S. Navy had on our country, its spirit, its politics and its economy.
