Court Appointed Special Advocates – Stand up for Children! Ventura County Informational Presentation

    0

COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES (“CASA”) FOR FOSTER CHILDREN-ARE YOU READY TO STAND UP FOR A CHILD WHO NEEDS YOU?

Find out how at our next Informational Session:

    Wednesday, July 26, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

    Camarillo

In an overburdened social welfare system, abused and neglected children need a stable adult in their lives.  CASA is the only volunteer organization that empowers everyday citizens as court officers to be that reliable adult and advocate for an appointed foster child. CASA Volunteer Advocates typically handle one case at a time; they commit to advocate for the child until he/she is placed in a safe, permanent home. While others may come and go, the CASA Volunteer Advocate provides that one constant adult mentor that children need in order to thrive.

CASA needs more volunteers!  Currently there are over 900 children in the Ventura County Dependency Court System who need, want, and are waiting for a CASA Volunteer Advocate.  Please consider attending the next CASA Informational Session on Wednesday, July 26, to learn about this unique program, the training, and how you can make a difference in the life of a child in our community.

For more information or to reserve your seat, contact Ken at (805) 389-3120 or [email protected].   Location will be furnished upon Registration.
