“Dead Man’s Party,” the Oingo Boingo/Danny Elfman tribute band will perform on Saturday, August 19 from 7:30-9:30 pm at the historic Olivas Adobe as part of the Music Under the Stars concert series offered by the City of Ventura.  A limited number of tickets are still available and can be purchased through the Parks, Recreation & Community Partnerships Department  by calling 805-658-4726 or at the Olivas Adobe, 4200 Olivas Park Drive, on the day of the concert; doors open at 6:30 pm. Reserved tables for four are available for an additional $15.

This eight-piece band is very similar to the original Oingo Boingo line-up, featuring a three-piece horn section, bass, drums, keys, guitar, and a convincing front-man. Former Oingo Boingo members, such as John Avila, Steve Bartek and Johnny “Vatos” Hernandez have been known to join Dead Man’s Party during their performances.  You never know what kind of surprise Dead Man’s Party will bring to the stage, with one exception; it is bound to be an incredible time!

Concert goers may bring in their own picnic dinner or  purchase food on-site from the Pizza Man Dan’s food truck and the Java Cat coffee truck. In addition, full beverage service from Beverlee’s will also be available. The Music Under the Stars concert series will continue every Saturday night with the last concert scheduled for  September 9, 2017.
