The multiple Emmy award winning film, Sonic Sea (2017) will be shown Tuesday, February 27, 6:30 PM, at the Universalist Unitarian Church, 740 East Main St, Santa Paula. Sonic Sea, co-produced by the Natural Resources Defense Council and the International Fund for Animal Welfare, shows the ocean as a sonic symphony. Sound is essential to the survival and prosperity of marine life. However man-made ocean noise is threatening this fragile world for whales, porpoises and other ocean life. Sonic Sea is about protecting life in our waters from the destructive effects of ocean noise pollution. Q & A discussion afterward. Event is sponsored by the Social Concerns Action Committee of the Universalist Unitarian Church. Free event. Donations accepted.
