    GOP Women’s Club to Hear of Trouble on the Border

    Senior Border Patrol Agent Christopher J. Harris will speak about “Trouble on the California-Mexico Border” at the Friday, October 13th meeting of the Conejo Valley Republican Women Federated. The event will be held at Los Robles Greens, 299 South Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360.  Registration and social connections begin at 11:00 am with the program and luncheon at 11:30. $25 includes a Chef’s Select luncheon buffet with coffee, iced tea & dessert.     Christopher J. Harris is a Senior Patrol Agent with the Border Patrol. He is also Secretary of the Executive Board, and Director of Legislative and Political Affairs for Local 1613 of the National Border Patrol Council.  As their spokesman, he has appeared on television many times including recently on the Tucker Carlson Show on the Fox News Channel.

    Harris’s career for over 34 years has been as a sworn officer at the local, state, and federal levels in both New York and California.  He moved to California in 1997 as a federal agent of the US Border Patrol – first for the US Department of Justice, and now with the Department of Homeland Security.  He previously worked as a federal officer with the US Treasury Department, and has been employed by the US Border Patrol as a Senior Patrol Agent for the last 20 years. He is now permanently assigned to the Imperial Beach Border Patrol Station in San Diego.

    During his work, he has been assaulted numerous times, including being struck in the head with a rock by a smuggler. Harris is a widower (Kimberly Harris 1962-2002) who is currently married to Norma Gaspar from Mexico who became a US Citizen in 2013.
