HashtagComedy has been bringing some of Hollywood’s funniest headliners to Thousand Oaks each month for an evening of entertainment. October’s intimate cabaret setting is Saturday, October 17 at 8:00 pm at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Dr. The hour and a half show is for eighteen years and up only, and cocktails may be purchased with valid ID. Doors open at 7:30.

Monty Franklin is an Australian born stand-up comedian now living in LA. He tours all over the world with Rob Schneider and will be appearing in Rob’s new TV Show ‘Real Rob’ in 2015, playing a role that Rob wrote specifically for him. Monty is the winner of The Comic’s Lounge Stand-up Competition 2006 and the Melbourne winner and national finalist of The Green Faces Comedy Competition. Monty is now based in Los Angeles, yet performs all over the country and world, headlining The Improv Comedy Clubs and The Laugh Factory. Monty’s name was recently added to the world famous Comedy Store in Hollywood, up there with all the greats like Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams and Steve Martin, as the only Australian on the wall.
Jaclyn Marfuggi is rising to the top of a new generation of comics in Los Angeles. The Italian Irish Jersey girl has an east coast sass and quick witted humor that perfectly compliment her LA dry “get it together already people” point of view. She has appeared in several episodes of the YahooComedy! hit series “The Flipside” and on the homepage of Funnyordie sketches. You can catch her jokes live all over the country but her home base is in Los Angeles at The Comedy Store and the Hollywood Improv.

Jeffrey Baldinger discovered his love for comedy at a young age, admiring the likes of Rodney Dangerfield and Andy Kaufman. He is bi-costal, regularly performing at the clubs and venues in both Los Angeles and New York and everywhere in between. Jeffrey can be seen most nights performing at the World Famous Comedy Store, and the Hollywood Improv.

Christopher Smith Bryant is a stand-up comedian described as the “love child of Woody Allen and SNL’s Stefon.” He has appeared in numerous national commercials, as well as spots on ESPN, Nick Mom, and Cartoon Network.

Julia Jasiunas is the creator and producer of HashtagComedyLA, and each month she brings an amazing line up of professional comedians right here to her home town in the Conejo Valley. A comedienne, actor, singer/songwriter, dancer and all around performer, Julia has performed at many Hollywood hot spots such as The Comedy Store, Westside Comedy Theatre, Flappers Comedy Club, and The Lyric Theatre as well as The Comedy Palace and Madhouse Comedy Club in San Diego, Ca. Most recently, Julia opened for Ahmed Ahmed at the Tahoe Improv! She has also been featured in many regional musicals such as “Annie” with Cabrillo Music Theatre and “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”.   Look out for her debut the new webseries (Un)afraid coming soon!

#COMEDY tickets are only $12 presale for general admission and $15 at the door, and $9 with student ID.

Tickets may be purchased at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts Box Office or by calling (805) 381-1246 or www.hillcrestarts.com. Also on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook under the handle @HashtagcomedyLA.
