Simi Valley Historical Society

The Simi Valley Historical Society invites the community to a Holiday Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sun., Dec. 9 at Strathearn Historical Park and Museum, 137 Strathearn Place, behind the Madera Target store.

The event is free.

The park will be decorated for the holidays with Santa and Mrs. Claus available for pictures until 1 p.m. 

Entertainment includes choir, live music, bell ringers and barber shop quartet. Following is the schedule of performances:

• Pipe Dreams Flute Duet – 11:00 a.m.
• Methodist Bell Ringers – 11:45 a.m.
• Channel Islands Harmony Chorus – 12:30 p.m.
• Valley View Middle School Choir – 1:15 p.m.

Historic buildings will be decorated with docents giving informal tours. Model T cars will be displayed.

Unique shopping of handmade crafts, wood toys and gifts in the General Store includes 40% off Civil War and Native American books and 30% off Vintage linens.
