Kristin Olsen, the newly-elected Vice Chair of the California Republican Party, will speak on “Restoring California’s Greatness” at the April 21st meeting of the Conejo Valley Republican Women. The luncheon meeting will be held at Los Robles Greens, 299 South Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360.  Registration and social connections begin at 11:00 am with the program and luncheon at 11:30. $25 includes a Chef’s Select luncheon buffet with coffee, iced tea & dessert. Olsen has developed a statewide reputation as a dynamic, forward-thinking leader – “the sort of person the Republicans need” according to the LA Daily News.  She served as Assembly Republican Leader from 2014 through early 2016. As the GOP’s lead negotiator on major policy and fiscal issues, she led its political and campaign efforts and was its principal spokesperson.

Kristin, the mother of three school-age children, approaches her job as a concerned citizen and “soccer mom” and focuses on education, water problems, economic growth, and open government on all levels.

She graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. from Westmont College.  She serves on the Board of Directors for CA Women Lead that recruits and trains women to pursue appointed and elected office.  She also serves on the Board for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Stanislaus County that helps abused and neglected children living in the foster youth system.
