The Conference is a great event held by Libertarian activists for Libertarians. Organizers concentrate on speakers who educate, elevate, and empower Libertarians to be more effective in promoting their causes and candidates. This year, they have assembled the movers and shakers of the Gary Johnson / Bill Weld field campaign to tell their stories.
National Regional Field Director Dan Fishman is coming out from Boston to talk about the national campaign’s extensive use of volunteers, how the field effort was organized, and how millions of people got mobilized across the country. Nicholas Sarwark, Chair of the Libertarian National Committee, will talk to us about how the party gained advantages due to our strong showing, and what the ballot access gains made in 19 states will mean for us strategically.
Jonathan Jaech, the State Field Director for Johnson/Weld and the Southern Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party of California, will emcee the event. Then we will be regaled by tales of action on the street by California Field Directors Boomer Shannon and Robert Imhoff, who will give us all the gritty details of the campaign. They were the guys who really got their hands dirty setting up websites, opening offices, rallying volunteers, and running the phone banks that contacted voters in several key states.  And I will be saying a few words myself about how we can capitalize on these results.
Local Candidates Mike Everling, Honor “Mimi” Robson, and Baron Bruno will talk about their campaigns for State Assembly and State Senate. Changes in election law have presented new opportunities and challenges for Libertarian candidates, and understanding the new landscape is an important part of our success. Their experiences will be both entertaining and informative.

The best part of this event will be all of the new relationships that you build. It’s tough being a champion of liberty in California, but with a big group of friends and allies, life is always better. The program and venue are set up to encourage attendees to mix and strengthen their connections.
Tickets are only $35 and include lunch. It’s a price point that is kept low to encourage participation by the young Libertarians who regularly attend. Even if you can’t make it to the event, you may consider buying a couple of tickets as a sponsor. You would support a young activist volunteer, and greatly help the Libertarian Party in its role as the networking hub for the Liberty Movement. Simply put Sponsor Volunteer in the name for the ticket as you register. You will help support a young and hardworking volunteer. http://www.lpcevent.com
