Memorable Stories & Film Clips Presented By Former Internees and Members of the Venice Japanese Community on THURSDAY, JUNE 29th at 6:30pm
The Venice Historical Society (VHS) is inviting you to hear personal accounts and watch film clips of Japanese American Life before, during and after their WWII internment. Â
Attendees will see a rare glimpse of Venice Japanese Americans sharing their memories. What did the Japanese Americans do for a living before internment? What were their experiences while in camp? What did children and teenagers do for fun? How did they start over after camp? Additionally, there will be a rare opportunity to meet former internees of the War Relocation Authority for a glimpse of their lives.

This memorable evening is scheduled for Thursday, June 29th, at 6:30 pm, and will be held at the modern Oakwood Recreation Center, at 7th & California Avenues, Venice, California, 90291. Enter on 7th Street. Â $5 for VHS members. Â $8 for non-members. Â Street parking available.
