8:00 to 10 pm at the Moorpark College Observatory, physician 7075 Campus Road, Ventura County Astronomical Society hosts a Public Star Party Saturday, May 31st.  The evening begins with a PowerPoint showing the stars, planets, and other amazing celestial objects visible that night.  Afterward view these objects through several VCAS club-member’s telescopes set up to minimize lines and maximize enjoyment.  Finally enter the “Dome” and look through the Observatory’s new Takahashi 6″ Apochromatic Refractor for a truly amazing sight.  The event is free but a $2 donation is suggested.  This is an Outdoor Event, please dress warmly.  For more info and directions go to: www.VCAS.org or call Starline at 805-520-9666
