Veterans And Their Families, An Annual Golf Tournament For Their Benefit

Farmers Insurance Agent, Patrick Lufrano, is hosting a golf Tournament as part of the work of Fighting for Families, a non-profit 501(c)(3). Applications MUST BE RECEIVED by September 1, 2017. (See below for details and further contact information.)

Mission Statement

Fighting for Families, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3)corporation which was created to raise money and provide support for local veterans and their families. The funds raised will be donated to a local veteran or family of a local veteran whose life was taken in the line of duty. The purpose of this organization is to raise money that will be donated and have a local impact on our community and its veterans. All of the officers and directors of Fighting for Families are volunteers only and are not compensated or paid for their time.

Opportunity

Veterans in need may apply to be the recipient of proceeds from the Fighting for Families annual golf Tournament. Several veterans will be selected based on their applications. In previous years, proceeds have totaled approximately $25,000.

Eligibility

  • Fighting for Families is willing to accept applications from any United States Military Veteran in need of help
  • Must be able to submit a copy of their DD214 for verification of service
  • Must be able to attend the golf Tournament on November 6, 2017 at Moorpark Country Club
  • Must be willing to be featured in a video created by the foundation to tell their story (examples below)
