The good news here is that your marketing need not be sales-oriented, but story-oriented. Telling a good story is a creative process, so, being that your field is steeped in creativity, use that to your advantage. Call on your imagination and ingenuity to fuel your promotional outreach.  The most effective communicators are storytellers. Stories engage, they’re compelling and they command our attention. Humans have been telling stories for centuries. We’re hardwired to respond to stories. Princeton University researchers Greg Stephens and Uri Hasson showed how compelling stories literally meld the storyteller and the listeners. Yep, tests show that as specific parts of the storyteller’s brain are activated, the same reaction is going on in the listener’s brain.  it actually changes our brain activity.

This presentation will cover why compelling storytelling is such a powerful public relations tool, as well as how writers can develop and utilize their various stores to interest, engage and commend attention.  Anthony will cover how to successfully use storytelling to land media coverage and build your brand.
