Gang Members Arrested in Oxnard

On May 13, 2018, at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department Special Enforcement Unit conducted a traffic stop on a White Chevy Camaro at 1500 Camino Del Sol.  The vehicle failed to yield for approximately two blocks before two subjects exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Both subjects were shortly apprehended.  Omar Medina (24 year old male) was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm illegally, and Jose Salazar (23 year old male) was found to have an outstanding felony warrant for carrying a loaded firearm.  Both subjects were arrested and were found to be Oxnard gang members.  The vehicle and driver are still outstanding.
