Give from the Heart – Blood Drive, October 11th

Blood drive at Ventura County Fire Department – Schedule an appointment for Thursday, October 11, 2018 The public is invited to join the Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD) and United Blood Services (UBS) for a blood drive on Thursday, October 11, 2018, hosted from 8 a.m. to noon in Camarillo.

The Bloodmobile will be located at 555 Airport Way on the Camarillo Airport grounds, on the corner of Airport Way and Durley Ave. To make an appointment, visit www.blood4life.org or call 805-543-4290. Use sponsor code 8425. United Blood Services is a nonprofit community blood center that depends on volunteer blood donors to maintain adequate supplies. As a major blood provider in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties, and the communities between King City and Salinas, United Blood Services depends on volunteer blood donors. All blood types are needed. Donations take about an hour from check-in to refreshments.

Your donation can save a life. This month your donation can also help support Make-a-Wish Tri-Counties through the UBS online HERO program. To give blood, donors must be at least 16, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health. Additional height/weight requirements apply to donors 22 and younger, and donors who are 16 must have signed permission from a parent or guardian.
