I wonder if any research in hereditary issues in regard to the connection between salt and high blood pressure has ever been considered. My 93 year old father uses copious amounts of salt and has the low end of normal blood pressure.

I have a 93 year old Father that just can’t get enough salt in his diet. My Mother would avoid cooking with salt because Dad would always put salt on his food before he even tasted it.

Contrary to this research, Dad has always had a low end of the normal spectrum of blood pressure. Could there be a hereditary aspect not mentioned in this study?
