THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Live Standup Comedy on the Hill returns Saturday, May 12 at 8:00 pm at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Dr, across from The Oaks Mall.  May’s lineup includes Scott Wood and Orlando Leyba.  The Center teams up with professional local comedian Jason Love to produce a top-tier show with a new lineup each month.  Now performing to sold-out audiences, this experience in comedy entertainment brings some of Hollywood’s funniest headliners to Thousand Oaks every month and tickets are now available three months in advance.   All shows are 8:00 pm with doors opening at 7:30.  The hour and a half show is for eighteen years and up only, and beer and wine may be purchased with valid ID.

Scott Wood, a stand-up comedian and impressionist known as Mr. Punchline, keeps audiences rolling in the aisles with a rapid-fire delivery of one-liners (more than eight jokes per minute) and a heart for clean comedy. Scott has been a full-time comedian for nearly twenty years. He was recently named Stand-Up Comedy champion after winning the Improv Comedy Club’s talent search for funniest comedian. His list of club credits includes The Comedy Store, The Ice House, The Laugh Factory and the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas.

Scott’s many television credits include ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, A&E, Comedy Central, The Family Channel and two national commercial appearances. Bush, John Travolta, The Simpsons and Sylvester Stallone, as well as singers such as Michael Bolton, Frank Sinatra, The Backstreet Boys and many more. Scott’s impressions have been heard on KLOS, KABC, and the Rick Dees show.

Orlando Leyba is an American stand-up comedian who connects with diverse audiences through his unique life experience, and perspective as a domesticated man. Orlando has a knack for finding humor in just about anything that crosses his path. With his animated demeanor, Orlando entertains the audiences through his dynamic storytelling and undeniable likeability allowing them to come along for the fun ride of his life experiences. Orlando has been on HBO, was a finalist in NBC’s ‘Stand Up Showcase, The Laughing Skull Comedy Fest, and BigSky Comedy Fest. He’s also become a regular at other comedy festival, and clubs throughout the U.S and Canada.

This March, audience member Gary Brown said, “It’s raining. And yet a full house. A sellout for sure!  I was surprised, but very happy to see it. All four comedians… We loved them!”   He added, “I’ve now been about ten times and will bring a whole lot of new folks back next month.  They’ll learn to get there earlier too. The good seats go fast.”
