Jury convicts Oscar Hernandez Valles for 2nd degree murder

Jury has convicted Oscar Hernandez Valles (DOB 5-19-70), of Oxnard, of the second degree murder of Olegario Tello Valladolid.  The jury also found true the special allegation that Valles personally used a deadly and dangerous weapon, a knife, when committing the murder. 

The murder occurred on December 28, 2013, during a confrontation between Valles and Mr. Tello at the Las Sirenas Bar and Grill located in Oxnard during which Valles pulled out a knife and repeatedly stabbed Mr. Tello who was unarmed at the time.  Sentencing in this matter is currently set for July 17, 2017.  Valles faces a sentence of 16 years to life.
