Let’s All Just Get Along, Ms. Brownley

By Debra Tash

My parents were Democrats, the old fashioned kind, who lived through the depression, served and loved this country, you know, Americans who belonged to the “loyal opposition”.  My parents are gone but not their breed of Democrat who, I would only hope, find the present party leadership so far gone they are to the left of fringe.

As a local publication, and with the congresswoman representing a good chunk of Ventura County,  we receive all of Ms. Julia Brownley’s press releases.  So yes, we recently received the one about her plan to wear white at the recent joint session of congress to show her support for women’s rights.  We also got the one about her invited guest to that event, a dreamer, who came to this country as a child.  And now, with her perfect batting average for towing the party’s leadership line, we have her latest missive, a link to, of all things, her Twitter account.  And what did Ms. Brownley have to say to the rabid press and her followers?

In the morning, at 7:02 AM to be exact, she tweeted this:

Now the news cycle is short nowadays.  This so called “revelation” on SENATOR Sessions’ two meetings with, gasp, the Russian ambassador, something senators sometimes do, and his answer to Senator Al Franken’s question during his confirmation hearing, appeared less than a day before.  And now our congresswoman is crying — Off with his head!  Resign, you dog!

For this – exactly what was asked and answered at that hearing:

“Franken: CNN just published a story alleging that the intelligence community provided documents to the president-elect last week, that included information that “Russian operatives claim to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump.” These documents also allegedly say “there was a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government.” Again, I’m telling you this as it’s coming out, so you know. But if it’s true, it’s obviously extremely serious, and if there is any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this campaign, what will you do?

Sessions: Senator Franken, I’m not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communications with the Russians, and I’m unable to comment on it.

Franken: Very well.”

President Trump just released this statement on the hubbub:

“Jeff Sessions is an honest man. He did not say anything wrong. He could have stated his response more accurately, but it was clearly not intentional.  The Democrats are overplaying their hand. It is a total witch hunt!”

You got it, Mr. Trump.  That last line says it all, a witch hunt.  And with one scalp under their belt, that of General Mike Flynn, the sharks leading the Dems to the ash heap of history will not stop.

And as to Ms. Brownley, who had Mr. “Women’s Rights” himself, Bill Clinton, campaign for her in her 2014 match-up with Jeff Gorell, well, how about it?  Enough of the Deep State, the leaks, the political gamesmanship, the shadow government and a petulant media that doesn’t serve the nation, but instead does the bidding of its corporate masters.  Let’s all get along and work in the best interest of this country. Stop crying foul and asking for a pound of flesh when you have no proof of wrongdoing.  We’re tired of it.

No more scalps for you and your friends in leadership. Now play nice and we will all be happy.

Go Debra. I know you do your research, write clearly and love this country. Maybe we should have you run for her office she occupies!

Debra Tash, thank you for your honest summary of Brownley. I would like to say that I find it odd that hardly anyone in the press calls these left wing, progressive types by their real title of Communist.
In the COMMUNIST RULES FOR REVOLUTION,seized in a raid in Dusseldorf Germany, in 1919, rule # 4 is: “Destroy the peoples’ faith in their natural leaders by holding the latter up to contempt, ridicule and . (speak against, condemnatory utterances)”

We should call a spade a spade.

    again, thank you.

So disappointed in Ms. Brownley, she is basing her decision on another speculative allegation from CNN. Whatever happened to objectivity and learning facts? Seeing those women all dressed in white, made it easier for us voters to see when they didn’t stand for the unifying message from OUR President. Policies like, American jobs, a strong military, secure borders, safety from terrorism, good education for all children, and a prosperous nation. You know, policies, the Old Democratic party used to stand for. It’s ok, more voters will just move to the Republicans.

Madame, This is clearly marked as an editorial, unlike the Star, which occasionally marks its opinion pieces as news.

“Andre Casanave” is a known troll and provocateur.

She’s shameless. But, anymore, what do you expect coming out of California.
