Man attacked with knife in Ventura

cheap times; font-size: 16px;”>Close to midnight on Monday, decease June, 30th, the Ventura Police Command Center received a 911 call of an injured 20 year old in the 5900 hundred block of Telegraph Rd.

As officers arrived on scene they learned the victim was walking along Telegraph Rd. when an unknown Hispanic male, 20-25, tall build wearing dark hoodie approached and inquired about the victim’s gang affiliation.  As the victim responded the suspect pulled a knife out and started slashing at him.  The victim sustained lacerations to his nose and chest.  The suspect then entered the passenger side of a grey SUV drove eastbound out of sight.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was transported to Ventura County Medical Center where he received medical attention for non-life threatening injuries. 

The investigation into this incident is ongoing. Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to call the Ventura Police Department at 339-4441.
