Mighty Cash Cats will be back in town at Bombay, 143 S California St, Ventura, Sunday, Oct 7, 6 pm, for a special 50th Anniversary release of Johnny Cash’s “Live at Folsom Prison” record, and Feb 2019 will be the 50th Anniversary of Cash’s “Live at San Quentin” album. Mighty Cash Cats will be playing tunes from both records that they don’t usually do in their show from both records such as “Green Grass of Home”, “Wanted Man”, “I Got Stripes” and “San Quentin” in addition to songs they usually do like “Ring of Fire”, “Folsom Prison”, plus Johnny and June duets like “Jackson.” Based in Ventura, Johnny Cash’s home for many years, recently returned from an an Asian tour, they will be back touring Europe next June.
Opening for the Cash Cats will be the Linda Ronstadt Tribute, “Silver Threads” covering many of the iconic singer’s greatest hits. It’s going to be lots of fun and you don’t want to miss this show! Plus it’s FREE.
