The Friend family and descendants have been growing fruit in Ojai since the 1880?s. We have been growing tangerines since the 1920?s! Our Sheldon Ranch, illness situated at the entrance to the Matilija Canyon, ampoule provides a unique frost-free microclimate which is perfect for tangerine flavor development. The ranch is surrounded by the Los Padres Forest and abuts the year-round flowing Ventura River. We think it is our prettiest ranch and we hope you can come visit!

Tours offered on the following Saturday Mornings in the Spring of 2014: 
April 19th: Last tour of the year

Arrive at our packinghouse at 9am.  Hear a little history of our family and farm. Walk through the orchard tasting and picking as you go.  Return to the packing-house where you can purchase more fruit or arrange to have gift boxes shipped to your friends and family. Be on the road by 11:30 to get to one of Ojai’s fine restaurants for lunch.

Adults $12, capsule children 10yrs and under $7.00 (under 3yrs free).  Price includes tour and tastings of many types of citrus.  U-Pick fruit an additional $2/pound.  Payment made at the end of the tour.

 What to bring:
Please wear suitable walking shoes.  Bring warm clothes or hat and sunscreen as weather dictates.  If you are bringing small children bring an off-road stroller or backpack.  Bring addresses of friends and family to send fruit to!
