The Ojai Women’s Fund (OWF) 2019 Technical Assistance Grant Workshop will be held on Thursday, March 7, to assist local nonprofits with the 2019 grant application process. Members of the OWF Grants Committee will walked through the new 2019 application, explain the application process, and take questions from the attendees. The meeting will take place at 5:30 to 7pm at HELP of Ojai, 111 Santa Ana Street in Ojai.

The Ojai Women’s Fund awards annual grants of $5,000-$20,000 to organizations serving the needs of the Ojai Valley community in the categories of the arts, education, environment, health, and social services. The group awarded $108,000 in grants to thirteen nonprofits in 2018.

“The workshop will offer new and prior grant applicants the opportunity to meet with representatives of the OWF Grants Committee,” said Marquita Flemming, Co-chair, Ojai Women’s Fund. “In addition to guiding potential applicants through the grants process, there will be a special focus on changes to the 2019 OWF Grant Application.”

The grant application will be distributed and will also be available online May 6. Light refreshments will be provided and there is no fee to attend.

About the Ojai Women’s Fund

The Joy of Local Giving

The Ojai Women’s Fund inspires and educates all women to become leaders in philanthropy and to help make a difference in the Ojai Valley Community. Together we, as a Giving Circle, can do much more that we could ever do alone.

A Giving Circle

A form of group philanthropy in which individuals combine their money and/or time so that they can have a bigger impact on the causes that are most important to them than would be possible by donating individually. There are many hundreds of giving circles in the United States and they are increasing rapidly. Most have formed since 2000; they are located in every state, are nonsectarian, focus on local community activities, and are frequently composed entirely of women.
