Oxnard Man on Active Probation Caught in Possession of Loaded Handgun

On May 15, 2018, at approximately 8:20 a.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Oxnard Boulevard and Orchard Place for a traffic violation. 

Officers contacted the driver, 23 year old Oxnard resident, Alex Bustillos, and learned that he was on active probation with search terms. During the investigation, Officers conducted a probation search and located a loaded, concealed handgun in the vehicle.  Bustillos was also found to be in possession of narcotics. 

Bustillos was arrested for felony charges of being in possession of a concealed loaded firearm within a vehicle, being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and possessing a controlled substance with a firearm.
