Oxnard Treasurer and Council races still close

Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving.
According to the County’s webpage as of late this afternoon, I remain in  the lead at this time by 481 votes. The Election Board staff had no update on the number of ballots remaining uncounted at 2:30, but said December 5 at 5:00 as the absolute deadline. The next update is scheduled to be released next Tuesday.

Editor’s note: We also heard from correspondent Peter Godinez, who told us that in the Council race, Aaron Starr is still ahead of Oscar Madrigal, but by only 219 votes, at 12096 – 11817
