The Oxnard Treasurer election race between leaders Phil Molina and Larry  (Lawrence Paul) Stein has been nearly neck and neck and candidatews exchanged the lead once, with Phil Molina now leading 16,986 ((37.28%) to 16,527 (36.27%)-  pulling ahead to a lead of 459 votes.

But the big news is that in the City Council race, perennial candidate Oscar Madrigal has closed the gap with Aaron Starr, now being only 263 votes behind, at 11,925 (15.30%) for Starr vs. 11,662 (14.96%) for Madrigal.  This makes Madrigal a serious contender at this point.
