Santa Paula: Fatal Hit and Run Traffic Accident with a Pedestrian

On Friday, November 10, 2017 at 5:35pm officers responded to a hit and run vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.  Upon officers arrival one Hispanic male subject, age 74 of Santa Paula, was located in the middle of the roadway. While the Santa Paula Fire Department firefighters and paramedics began treatment, officers contacted witnesses. Through investigation it was determined the suspect vehicle was a silver 4-door Nissan Altima that was traveling westbound in the 700 block of W. Harvard Blvd. The pedestrian was traveling southbound across Harvard Blvd. when he was struck by the vehicle. The vehicle was last seen westbound on Telegraph Road from Peck Road. The victim was transported to Ventura County Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. At this time the investigation is on-going. The name of the victim is being withheld at this time pending notification of family.
