Recipe of the Week: SPRITZ – German shortbread cookies



Ingredients and Directions:

Cream together
1/2 C butter
1/4 C sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 Tblspoon Cream
1/2 tsp Almond flavoring
Sift together
1 3/8 C flour
1/2 tsp baking powder

Combine all ingredients. Drop large walnut sized on GREASED cookie sheet.
Press horizontally with fork tines, then press diagonally with fork tines to make a pound symbol
until cookie is about 1/2 inch thick.

Bake 400 degrees 8-10 minutes until edges of cookies are light to medium brown.
