Santa Paula Police Department – Incident Press Release
On Monday, June 10, 2019, at approximately 2:31 AM, Santa Paula Police officers observed a vehicle matching the description involved in a shooting incident that had occurred the night before. Santa Paula officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop of the vehicle, but the driver failed to yield, which initiated a vehicle pursuit. The pursuit lasted approximately 10 minutes and entered through several residential neighborhoods that ended in an orchard field immediately west of Country View Court. Both occupants ditched the vehicle and fled on foot.
With the assistance of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, Ventura County Sheriff Air Unit, Ventura Police Department K-9 unit and the California Highway Patrol, an extensive search of the area was completed, however officers were unable to locate the suspects.
