    Santa Paula Police Department – Incident Press Release

    Santa Paula, CA – On Monday, April 8, 2019 at approximately 3:43 PM, Santa Paula detectives responded to a report of a robbery at the Subway restaurant in the Vons shopping center located at 550 W Main St. in the City of Santa Paula. Through the investigation, detectives discovered that the suspect demanded money from the cash register and fled with an unknown amount of cash in a white Ford truck.

    The suspect was later identified as Joshua Barmore (43) of Santa Paula after reviewing surveillance footage. Mr. Barmore is currently on probation for narcotics and weapons violations and was located outside his residence then arrested for the robbery. During the arrest, a dirk/dagger type of knife was found concealed on the subject. Mr. Barmore was transported to the Ventura County Jail for Robbery – PC 211, and Carrying a concealed dirk/dagger – PC 21310 PC.
