Shehee found guilty of carjacking and street terrorism

William Deauntae Shehee (DOB 04-22-1994) guilty of carjacking, robbery, assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury, and street terrorism. The jury further found that Shehee committed the crimes for the benefit of and in association with a criminal street gang, Ventura Avenue Crips.

On April 15, 2016, defendant Shehee, Daniel Smith (DOB 05-02-1978), Amber Donovan (DOB 06-29-1998), and Amanda Donovan (DOB 09-04-1996) lured a victim into an alley behind a pharmacy in Ventura. They attacked the victim while he was sitting in his vehicle, robbed him, and ultimately stole the victim’s vehicle.  Sentencing in this matter is currently set for July 12, 2017.  Shehee faces a maximum sentence of 22 years to life.

Amber Donovan pled guilty prior to trial. She was convicted of one count of carjacking and sentenced to three years in prison on August 11, 2016. Daniel Smith and Amanda Donovan are currently awaiting trial.
