Shoplifting Excursion Results in Arrest for Robbery

On 3/4/18 at approximately 10:22 PM an employee from Kohl’s Department Store contacted SVPD to report a Robbery. SVPD units responded and learned that two female suspects had entered the store and began placing merchandise into a duffle bag. Kohl’s loss prevention officers witnessed the incident and followed them as they exited the store without paying for the merchandise. When Kohl’s loss prevention officers attempted to detain the suspects, one of the officers was sprayed in the face with pepper spray.


The suspects fled in a white Kia Optima and were eventually spotted by Officer Sarfaty, e/b on SR 118. Several units arrived to assist Officer Sarfaty and a traffic stop was conducted on Topanga Canyon Rd., south of SR 118. Both suspects were detained and positively identified as the Robbery suspects. A search of the vehicle resulted in the retrieval of the stolen property, as well as other burglary tools. The suspects were identified as Angela Aguilar (31 yrs.) and Shabray Davidson (25 yrs.). They were both arrested and booked at the Ventura County Jail for , 211 PC (Robbery) 182 PC,(Criminal Conspiracy) and 466 PC (Possession of Burglary Tools).
