Sign up Now for Ventura’s Sea-to-Shore Adventure Race, August 26

Triathletes and novices looking for a challenging race that showcases Ventura’s beautiful coast are encouraged to enter the Sea-to-Shore Adventure Race at the historic Ventura Pier along San Buenaventura State Beach on Saturday, August 26. The swim-run-kayak event is for male, female and coed teams, ages 16 and up. The first heat begins at 8 am with check-in at 7 am. Advanced registration is $70 per team; no event day registration will be accepted.

In a split format, one member from the team will swim 800 meters around the pier for a team tag. The other member from the team will then run a 5K on the shoreline and promenade, south to the turnaround at the San Pedro Street jetty, then north to the Surfers’ Point Promenade flagpole for a return to the start/finish line south of the pier.  The race will finish with both team members partnering in a kayak around buoys south of the pier to San Pedro Street and back.

Wetsuits are recommended for participants; kayaks and life vests will be provided. There is plenty of parking available at the parking structure on Harbor Boulevard at California Street.
