Simi Valley: Foot Pursuit Leads To Arrest of Robbery Suspect

On 11/2/17 at approximately 12:18 AM, SVPD units responded to 1790 Erringer Rd. “Donuts Plus” on a robbery that just occurred. The victim, who is an employee of the business, stated that a male subject had entered the business and was attempting to open the cash register.

The victim attempted to stop the suspect from opening the cash register, but when he did so, the suspect yelled profanities at him. The victim feared that the suspect might become violent so he backed away as the suspect opened the register and took the cash. The suspect then exited the business. A description was given to SVPD officers who found the suspect a short distance away. Officers attempted to detain the suspect, but he fled. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended. After being positively identified by the victim, he was place under arrest for Robbery and Resisting.

The suspect was subsequently transported to Simi Valley Hospital to tend to injuries he sustained while being combative with officers during the arrest. The suspect was identified as Nathaniel Corro-Beltran, 26 yrs. He was subsequently booked at the Ventura County jail.
